    Post What happens if we comment lines in java policy file?

    In the java policy file what will happen if we comment out

    //permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "stopThread";.

    My understanding is that we can't call thread.stop() anywhere in the program am i rite?
    If we call it should say "Access denied"...

    If any Text area is built with AWT closing it by clicking on "X" on the window will call this thread.stop() method?

    Please correct me if am wrong.

    If you're forever cleaning cobwebs, it's time to get rid of the spiders.

    Hi DB,

    yes i posted the same question on Danniweb also.. I was thinking why not we get the suggestions from Daniweb users also... Is that wrong to post question in more than one discussion forum?

    Thanks,
    AV

    There is no problem posting on multiple forums as long as you tell everyone about it. That is to prevent the volunteer helpers wasting time answering a question that has already been answered.
    If you don't understand my response, don't ignore it, ask a question.
