Default Transformer.transform() method with SGML files

I have a SGML file which I am trying to convert to a Html using an XSLT. I tried to do the conversion using the Transformer.transform() method of java, but I get parser errors.

My understanding is transform method doesn't work with SGML files hence I am getting parser errors, please correct me if I am wrong.

Also is there something else in java for applying XSLT on SGML files.

    Thanks,
    Neha

Default Re: Transformer.transform() method with SGML files

As far as I remember, SGML isn't XML, it's far more complicated and I can imagine that an XML parser chokes on it ... I don't know of any SGML parsers for Java (but Google might prove me wrong).

    kind regards,
