    You don't even know how to compile a program, and you want to write a stock trading bot?

    No wonder the economy is so screwed up.

    Learning is great, but your question reminds me of a kid in shop class asking how to make a gun. It's bad enough that bots are used in the stock market; helping a novice programmer write one would be terrifying.

    Since this question was posted in the 'Advanced Java' section, here is an advanced answer:

    Java Code:
    public static void stockBot() {
       Random r= new Random();
       while (true) System.out.println(r.nextBoolean()?"buy!":"sell!");
    }
    kind regards,

    Jos

    You should see my bots covering my short options:

    Java Code:
    public static void stocShortBot(boolean b) {
       Random r= new Random();
       b= r.nextBoolean();
       System.out.println(b?"buy!":"sell!");
       stockLongBot(b);
    }

    public static void stocLongBot(boolean b) {
       Random r= new Random();
       b= r.nextBoolean();
       System.out.println(b?"sell!":"buy!");
       stockShortBot(b);
    }
    Unfortunetely they don't run for a very long time, but I'll figure that out ;-)

    kind regards,

    Jos
