AFAIK IPhone doesn't support Java applications. Can any IPhone owner please confirm or counter that?

If I am not wrong we can have Java as server side code for Iphone standalone application. That will get the request from app and process that and return back the JSON.

Yes, servers can be written in java. The source of the request sent to a server is not important.

The subject line certainly doesn't suggest that the question relates to the server side code. Oh well.

Guide me writing a code that upload image through a HTTP connection (POST) to server, it read fix size buffer data and write it to server disc and repeat until complete image is written.

There are tutorials on how to use HTTP to connect to a server and send it data. There are probably code samples on this forum on how to make a connection and how to send data to a server. Try using Search.
What kind of java code can you write for use on the iphone?

Iphone will be hitting my server code that is written in Java (basically a spring application) that is calling some web services and send back the JSON.

Is that a new protocol? Not sure what hitting means.

Hitting means, we have a client iphone app , when user put details and press submit it will submit a request(hit) to java server code and that will process the request and send back the data in JSON format to app.
