Can't Reinstall Java
A couple days ago I tried to reinstall java because I was having problems with it. Now I have Java on my computer and only a few things work. I can't run jar files or anything else that uses java. When A website requires java it tells me I am missing an add-on in both Chrome and Firefox. When I try to uninstall it in Add/remove Programs I get this:

Also the only one I can't uninstall is the Highlighted Java (64-bit) THe other ones will get uninstalled but I still can't reinstall javaLast edited by jamesteh; 07-27-2011 at 02:41 AM. Reason: Forgot to add something

Do you ever check whether the window environment variable is still reference to old java run-time directory?
Or is that possible the path does not reference to the new java run-time directory?

I fixed one problem and got another. The environment variable for Path had a Period before it which caused it to not be found. I got rid of it and now it won't load and it doesn't tell me to install java anymore. The screen just stays black in the program or web page that requires java. I tested it on the "Do I have java?" on java.com: Java + You and it just keeps reloading. So the environment variable don't seem to be the problem The environment variable are set up how they should be.
