there are two way to do OCR in Java
1. Using Paid OCR library. Like Asprise OCR v4.0 for Java.
Java OCR API library SDK component control with free trial download and source code can be obtained through licensing
2. Using OpenCV Vision Library.(its a C++ based library u can use it using JNI)
OpenCV is open source Library.
Tesseract is existing OCR that is available in JAVA also. its also good for understanding how the ocr exactly works.Last edited by baloda; 02-08-2011 at 09:36 AM.
