I am trying to build a web application that would use FTP to transfer files from client to server. I have successfully developed a solution using eclipse IDE running on local tomcat web server. However, when I deployed my web app in the server and tried to use my FTP client (web). It does not see the file that i am trying to upload. If have the reason why, It looks for the file, which i have specified, in the server file system and not in the client file system..
Is there a possible workaround for this situation?
I looked at developing an application that would run locally for me to be able to access the client file system. Java applets would be the best as it runs locally when invoked from the web page. However , I have found out that applets could no access local system resources..
Is there another way for me to access client file system?
Thanks in advence!
