Exclamation How to lock Windows XP desktop using Window/JWindow

    Greetings,

How would I lock the Windows XP desktop into a passworded - screensaver like environment? Wherein, instead of a message pop when a key is pressed or the mouse is move, nothing happens.

I was able to capture almost all windows shortcuts using JFrame with an auto-focus implementation on the key commands. But when I was implementing the code to a JWindow/Window, the auto-focus didn't work.

    Thanks,
    Cyril H.

What native code would that be?

it isn't but Fubarable suggest you do it in native code to the operating system. You ask what that would be. I said Visual Basic. you said VB, I confirmed VB is visual basic.

    I am not completely sure,

I did a 2 second google search, and found some material.

    maybe something similar to this

C++ Q&A: Typename, Disabling Keys in Windows XP with TrapKeys

I just don't think java can grab hold and control your windows XP with the functionality your looking for.

Visual basic is the native code for windows, so it should have some functionality to grab hold like you want.

Okay, maybe the code isn't on VB, instead C/C++.
