How Java is Useful In Anti Virus Programming

That's simple to answer: it's not.

Using Java to develop Anti Virus s/w doesn't mean it will be better than others.
What important is your logic and how you implements them.

You can write antivirus program in Java but its not good, because virus makers can easily compile your code and find weaknesses of your antivirus program.

Also when you are doing antivirus programing its better to do with low level programming like C/C++. First they allow you to do more stuffs, and they are more flexibile then Java or .NET. Second they work faster.

If you want to program antivirus programs you also must have a big knowledge of operating systems, networks, internet, etc.
