Default Reading .dat files in java

    Hi,

Could any body provide me sample code to read some 3 .dat files(ex1.dat,ex2.dat,ex3.dat) same time from particular directory location in java and how to parse the contents in the .dat file and store it in some java object.

Please advise if any body has any working sample.

    Thanks,
    Kumar

What is the format of the contents of the .dat file? Are they text? Or are there binary fields.
If not text, you will have to know the layout of the records to be able to read them and make sense of what you read.
