Exclamation How to configure Android on Netbeans 6.8

    Hi,

I need help on how to configure Android 2.2 on Netbeans 6.8
I have already downloaded the latest SDK of Android.
I have also installed the plug-in and the platform as said in this link.
I have followed everything though I am developing on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit. But it should hold me.

What wrong? When I'm running the HelloDroid, it doens't display the "Hello, Android" on the screen.

I'm sure your Android 2.2 (whatever that is) distribution comes with an installation manual. Given the results you describe my only guess is: you did something wrong, and my only advice can be: do it again and don't make that mistake again. b.t.w. if I've bought something at the grocery store and it's over date when I bought it, guess where I go with my complaint.

    kind regards,

    Jos

I have now transfered to Eclipse 3.5 but still on Windows 7.
The emulator loads slowly as I have observed. I have tried only using Android 1.5 Lvl 3 instead of Android 2.2 Lvl 8.

Maybe it's my 1.7Ghz laptop that causing the delay.
Anyways, I'll find ways to increase the processing rate of the emulator to my need.

    Thread is solved.

    Default Configure Android in Netbeans

Its quite simple to configure android in Netbeans, downloading only will take time... Have a look here [Moderato edit: link removed] for clear information... Nice choice for choosing Netbeans for development

@Meghna: please don't revive ancient threads to promote some web site or other. I don't mean to criticise the site - I haven't looked at it.

In this case it seems odd to congratulate the OP for using NB, when they say they are using Eclipse and finding the emulator slow. (and it was slow relative to the fruit branded alternative way back when this thread was green.)

Better, I think, to participate in the NB and Android forums and comment, pertinently, to live discussions where valuable advice will be appreciated.

Closing. (If you think that's harsh, post your ideas in the Lobby or Suggestions and Feedback forums.)
