Exclamation Capturing a screenshot of a another pc?

Is this possible that you can capture a screenshot from another pc by the request of the server? (meaning, the server sends a signal to the client to capture a screenshot then relays that image to the server).

I am doing this in a coded manner.
Is this possible? If so, how? (i'm needing the steps on how to do it).
Every project, package, class, method, variable, syntax, algorithm, etc.

Sure, that client has to cooperate, i.e. perform the actual screen grabbing and the rest is just a plain old sending bytes from a client to a server. It you want to use Java for that have a look at the Robot class ...

    kind regards,

    Jos

    Ok.
BTW, using the Robot class, in a server-client network, could the server's mouse synchronize with the client's mouse? (in a way the client's mouse is disabled by sort of program). Meaning the server controls the client's mouse.

Sure, again, the client has to cooperate, i.e. if it doesn't want it mouse to be moved or clicked from 'outer space' it isn't moved or clicked. There is no such thing as a free lunch here ...

    kind regards,

    Jos

You should be able to use the Robot class from an app without problems. From an applet would require permission either by signing or .java.policy file.

The client will be internet kiosk.
Instead of moving around on almost a hundred computers.
I was planning to coordinate all of the computers in one computer.
Meaning, all opeartions, installation of programs and update of games is done by the server itself.

The only thing i need is on how to manuver the computer of the client by sitting on the server.

If the goal is installation and update, you really should consider more direct ways of doing that instead of trying to use screen captures. There is little sense in having a human in the loop for something so mundane.

What would you prefer? There are more things to consider other than installation and update. I also need to have a visual copy of what's happening in my computers. I know it's against related issues against privacy. But I wanted to have this feature on the system I'm developing.

Have you read the API doc for the Robot class? It should explain what the Robot class can do.
