    Default "Red X" customization

Is there any way to customize the toolbar with the "Red X" and the minimize button and the maximize button? In other words, is there any way to get rid of the toolbar and re-design it (similar to what they did with Google Chrome for Windows XP)?

A JFrame has a static method setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated( ...). Set it to false and supply those buttons yourself.
