    Default generate excel spreadsheet

    Hi all, I have data (2 columns with numbers and heading) and I'd like to generate table and simple bar chart in Excel. How is it possible? (Give me an implementation example please). Thnx

    The other option is POI from Apache.
    Can't say which is best or easiest or quickest, though.

    They write:
    Charts that already exist in a spreadsheet can be copied to another spreadsheet. New charts can't yet be inserted into a spreadsheet, but by using a chart in an pre-existing spreadsheet as a template, you can create new spreadsheets that use that template chart but plug-in new data values at runtime.
    The sentence with 'creating new spreadsheet that use template' could be helpful. I'm thinking about it and I'll probably try. Thank you. Any other ideas?

    Ouch... I see... maybe only one possible way is here with charts - edit some template file. I'll probably use JExcelApi. Thank you very much.

    instead of creating a excel spreadsheet from the scratch, you could create one with two numbers and a chart. so in java you can read this one, update your numbers and saving it in a new file.
