how can i set up eclipse to compile RMI stubs?
please don't point me to Genady's plugin, i've tried that already. it works, but it leaves me with an incomplete picture of how RMI works.

You don't need to compile stubs (nor skeletons) anymore for the RMI framework (therefore rendering rmic useless). It all happens during runtime now and reflection takes care of the nitty-gritty details. It is none of eclipse's business.Quote:

could you send me an example? i can't quite figure it out. even the sun example code explodes in a cloud of exceptions.
Did you try Sun's example (the PI calculator) from their RMI tutorials? All you have to do is copy and paste the code, compile and run it.Quote:

I've downloaded the whole tutorial and opened the files in eclipse. as i said, it failed epicly.
