My Web App on Internet

Hi! I'm developing a Web app with Struts. At first it had to work on a Intranet but now it's neccessary put it in Internet. So I have this questions:

• How can I publish my app on Internet? So far all the sites that provide hosting offer just PHP support.
• How can I update the web app contents? All my pages have been created but along the time I have to update them. Is there any tool or procedure to update my pages? I've seen something about Joomla but I think I'm far away from the solution.

Please help me. I'm waiting your answers. Thanks in advance!

You have to some Web Hosting Company that offers Java Hosting.

They usually offers some package like:

• Tomcat 5.5 / Tomcat 6
• PHP 5.3+
• MySQL 5.1+
• PostgreSQL 8.1+
• Perl 5.8 + Modules

So question you have to solve:
- Am i OK with Tomcat
- which DB do I use : no Oracle here no SQL Server...
- Am i OK with capacities that are offered: number od DB's, size, connection bandwidth...
- Maybe most important: Am I OK with SHARED HOSTING.
That means you cannot control any server - you cannot install, start, stop...Tomcat, MySQL...because many other users are using it at same time (SHARED)
- Can i afford it (from like 10$/month)

Make a phone call to some Java Hosting company and let them help you.

You have to connect to remote Java hosting account once you get it.
You just do like using remote file system - copy fresh pages to folders
on deployed web app on web server
