    Smile Help Needed Please

    I'm doing a mini-project in my college, so I thought of developing an application purely in Java which could basically send sms about student's attendance, college notifications direct to student's phone.
    Moreover I want my applications to be independent of internet, that means it should send sms via a phone connected to PC.
    So if you have any little knowldege on this, please share it. It could be very useful for me.
