Streaming Audio in Java Application?
Hi all,
I am in the process of developing a Java application and want to include some live streaming audio in it. It will need to function like an RSS feed. To simplify it, we will have one person at a computer speaking into a microphone (let's say broadcasting the news), and that will transmit out to anyone using the application.
Does anyone have any advice on existing software (preferably open source) that can do something like this?
I'm very much at the beginning stages of this implementation.. I guess I just have the idea and I am looking for some guidance where to start.
Also, no podcasts.
Thanks for any insight,
Jon

Try any of these links, but they may all not be free.
1) Streaming Audio Server Software for Internet Radio Broadcasting
2) All streaming audio recording software (freeware, shareware,...) [windows, mac os] Streaming audio recorders and rippers
3) High Quality Streaming Web Audio
4) How to stream a live audio file?
By the way, your journey would be shorter if you came with some Java code showing what you have done so far.
