please help me for the following

I am using JDK6 and rxtx package for serial port communication. I have a electronic weighing balance, and I can read the data from the machine through serial port read. Now I need to tare the weight as zero. Is there any way ??

Read the manual that came with that balance; if it can be done it'll be described in that manual.

If you can ask question specifically with more details it's much better. The way you ask the question is bit confusing. Basically you are trying to handle device through your application. Before that you have to find the way to communicate with it. Those things are hard to tell, because we don't know what the device and how it works. Hope it's clear to you what I'm trying to pointed here. Good luck! :)
