    Default jar file comilation

    Hi,
my doubt is Do the jar file compiled one or not?
if jar file is compiled one, is it again compiled during runtime?
what will happen to jar during runtime?

A jar file is just a container (a zip file). It contains compiled .class files and other resources files you want to add to it. You could open a jar file as if it was a zip file and add/remove files at will.

Of course you can. Any sane application, however, will not be modifying it's jars out from under itself.

Agreed, an application would likely not modify it's own jar. I meant by "open"
that one could open a jar file with an independent archive tool and unzip the jar file or edit it's contents (though there is likely no particular reason to do it). Just trying further illustrate that a jar is just a container. :)
