folder/file menu items
I am trying to write a program where i need to access certain actions that exist in a windows folder/file right click menu. These are not shortcuts but refer to actions based on an extension that have been added to these folders/files. I have searched for a while and don't seem to find anywhere if there is a way to access these options within Java. If anybody has a way of doing this and executing them as if the file/folder had done it itself, that would be exactly what im looking to do.
More detailed information on the project if you're interested, i am trying to access the actions added by Tortois svn. This is a software that allows you to use a subversion server to sync files with. I am attempting to cause the syncs to happen both ways through Java. I have also tried searching ways to do this directly using other methods directly accessing Tortoise, but i have had no luck. So if anybody has an answer as to how to solve this using either one, i am all ears.
Don't think it's got everything you need, but checkout the new Desktop class.
the desktop class appears to have functionality as far as opening a file through it's default program but it doesn't appear to have any way to access any type of right click methods associated with the specific file, which is what i am trying to get at.
