You need a device driver for the coin acceptor, and a Java wrapper around the native code.
It's unlikely that applet security will allow this set-up, but it might.Don't forget to mark threads as [SOLVED] and give reps to helpful posts.

I'm sure yours is a lovely coin recognition system. But, please, don't revive threads from their long slumber to post advertising. And if you are answering an actual, living, thread, address the question by saying how your hardware really does provide a Java interface.
