    Default J2EE and J2ME differences

Does anybody know if there is a reference document that describes the java differences between the java available in a J2EE environment and the subset available in J2ME. Specifically I am trying to find out what methods are missing in the J2ME implementation of java. For example I know that the String class in J2ME does not support the split method.

Besides what people can tell you here, Google "difference between j2ee and j2me" ... tons of info

me is just a drastic reduction of available pre-written, mostly Collections and java.lang plus some java.io.

Not paticularly hard to bypass the toi, just eliminate the easy chair and that's pretty much the idea.
