I am doing a project in java...
I am using Servlets, JSP and JDBC....
I have many JSP files in my code...
What I want is to hide the URL...
Eg) Instead of localhost:8080/myproject/myjsp.jsp?a=xyz
I want it as something.com
If it is possible, please help me...
Its fairly easy to have your jsp pages map to something cleaner.
But no matter what, if you have fee.jsp, fie.jsp, foe.jsp and fum.jsp
you have to have four URLs.
They can be something like:
This is controlled by the setup of apache, tomcat, or whatever you are using as a front end.
And it assumes that you own the domain http://something.com
and have properly set it all up.
Thanks for ur interest Mr.Fishtoprecords.
But is there any way so that the user gets only a particular name throughout the site...
Whatever the page he visits in my site, he should get the same url.
You have have any example sites that do what you claim to want to do?
Urls are not secrets.
I came across couple of such sites, but don't remember one, will let u know once I get it...
