implementation of web based auto dialers in java

HI,

I have assigned a work that "Implementation of web based dialers in java".
I am new to this technology. what is the process to implement this feature.
Is java support this feature?. what are the technologies required to implement.
I have searched a lot on net. i didnot get.

My requirement is as follows:

" I have a button(CALL) on the web page. when I click on that button . I have to call a particuler number."
which technology support to call from pc to telephone.

please help me.
