    Question vb anyone?

    I just got a client request, spec is needful I write to vb macros for Access. Probably SQL on the backend, anyone have any experience writing to Access from the server side using Java?

    Otherwise I will have to tear up a machine installing shell-hooks.......

    I am about to dig into this, I am assuming at this point that Access is on the Client, I have several screenshots and about a hundred lines of sample code from the app they are using. I also have to assume that customer does not undersand client-server data model and that I will have to "figure it out for myself"

    I thus assumed that I would be better off using a Tier-1 server I already have hired to do the preliminary design work, insisting on heavy contract if ends up to be server on machine they determine.

    I will look at the driver for now, assume for the moment I will devote entire weekend to this.

    Customer has degreed computer scientists to consult with, but I have no clue as to whether they have cats or dogs for computer scientists.

    { additional information: Looks like it will be client-side scripting, a'la AJAX - bought a 1,800 page SAM's book based on information from the customer. looked at the linked site - that's the stuff I want to write, I need to write to the client.....}
