So in short find an IDE that has the tools and features that you like and go with it. Unfortunately we do not always know what we like until we have experience and that takes time.
This is right but for your case for the purpose of a guideline: the widely accepted three IDEs used by java developers are Netbeans, Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA.
